Meet the 'Vegetables'

Bell Peppers

This is a picture of me with my younger sister. My sister was adopted, which is why her skin colour is different from mine. People often tease her when we are together because we look different.

Bitter Gourdon

I suffered from severe acne when I was younger, resulting in the visible pits all over the surface of my skin. I was often misunderstood to be “not clean” and that I did not have proper hygiene, causing my acne.

Aubergine

My original name is Aubergine, but recently, people have been calling me eggplant. I used to hate the people who called me that, but I realized that it was true to what my ancestors looked like.

Zucc Hini

I have extremely waxy skin. I have a soft center but a crunchy personality

String Bean

I have many siblings. All of us are naturally lanky, our skin is extremely thin as we do not have much meat, so we bruise easily

Tom Ato

Although i look strong and firm from the outside, i am extremely fragile and sensitive. My skin breaks easily as well.

I shiver, thinking how easy it is to be totally wrong about people, to see one tiny part of them and confuse it for the whole.
